Comparability


core definition

Comparability is the formal acceptance between two or more parties that two or more qualifications are equivalent.


explanatory context

Comparability is similar to credit transfer.


analytical review

The Association europeenne des conservatoires (AEC, 2004) defines it as:

Comparability: The notion of equivalence between qualifications of the same type offered in different institutions or countries. Comparability does not require complete conformity.
