Management audit
Management audit in higher education, is a process for checking that management procedures are in place to assure quality, integrity or standards of provision and outcomes.
Management audit is often subsumed within a general institutional audit.
INQAAHE (2001, p. 2) make a distinction between auditing the procedures for quality assurance and auditing management and policy-making processes:
A management audit looks also at general management, general policy and policy making.
The UNESCO definition is
Management Audit: A management audit reviews the general management, policy, and policy-making of a given institution. (Vlãsceanu et al., 2004, p. 24)
