Project team

core definition

The project team is the group of people, within a quality monitoring agency, who organise and arrange the external quality process.

explanatory context

Project team should not be confused with the external evaluation team (otherwise known as peer review team).

It would be possible to refer to an internal or institutional project team arranging internal quality reviews in higher education institutions. However, those who arrange internal events are not usually referred to as a project team.

analytical review

EVA (2004) refers to the project team as follows:

EVA will establish a project team for each evaluation. The project team is typically composed of two evaluation officers and one evaluation staff (a student) all of whom are employed with EVA. Among the evaluation officers, a coordinator will be appointed who shall be responsible for the communication between the evaluated institutions and the project team. The project team will be responsible for the practical work and the methods for the evaluation, including also the responsibility for writing a report.
