Method

core definition

Method means a way of doing things, as applied to an academic discipline it refers to the processes adopted by a discipline to test ideas, as, for example, in social research method, or the scientific method.

explanatory context

A slightly wider view of method is to see it as the sets of processes and procedures adopted in an area of study for illiciting knowledge about that area of study.
