Schema


core definition

Schema, as a concept used by developmental cognitive psychologists, is a mental mirror of a real situation.


explanatory context

Learning, according to this approach, occurs when we integrate new associations and relations between objects into our schemata.

 

Piaget is an example of a psychologist who uses the schema approach.
