London Metropolitan University: Access to employability

London Metropolitan University is committed to providing access to higher education for disadvantaged groups. However, it is also concerned with what happens to these students when they graduate and enter the labour market or take up further study. It has, therefore, produced a new curriculum that embeds employability development at each level of the undergraduate curriculum and promotes work placements. All subjects have been required to 'realign' their syllabuses to meet the requirements of the new curriculum, which will be introduced in 2004–05.
