Semantics
Semantics is the study of signs and their relations to what they signify.
Semantics is one of the three traditional divisions of semiology.
Semantics also has a meaning in formal logic. In this sense it is the interpretation of formal languages.
In the context of the philosophy of language, semantics is the attempt to find truth definitions for natural languages.
